Description
The Square stalked St Johns wort loves damp places such as marshes, river banks, and pond margins. It is great for a wetland area in the garden. When planted at the edge of the pond, it provides cover for emerging wildlife and it is also bee friendly. The flower is paler than the traditional St Johns Wort and the stem has 4 ridges along it’s length – hence the name! It spreads by seed or by rhizomes.
